Have you ever told someone you are going to get to the root cause of their problem? Sure you have. Every patient or client you see has already been told that by ten other practitioners, and yet even though you believe that, (your Communication Bias), the person you are telling that to either doesn’t believe you or doesn’t care.

They just want their pain or problem to go away. Or, have you ever told anyone they have a brain problem, or a stress problem, or a nervous system problem? These are your biases. Not the patients or clients, and yes, even recognizing they have stress, none of those are motivating factors to keep your patients or clients continuing care, because they can’t relate to what you are telling them.

Even x rays, functional lab tests, posture analysis, orthopedic and neurological exam findings, although all having great value in getting a patient or client to understand the necessity of your care, within 24 hours, once they leave your office or your Zoom consultation, the Law of Habituation kicks in, and they go back to their daily life, and all they are left with is when am I going to feel better?

If you want new patients and clients, and you want them to continue care, and refer their friends and family, you must communicate with their biases, not yours, and the only way to do that is with the Functional Health Management Score.
